When I need time to think I sit on the bench and look at the pink plant that is unwisely growing beside it. Out of the realm where I spray the deer repellent and at the edge where I sometimes forget to water, it just keeps growing and blooming. It's nice to trust that some things work that way. Politics doesn't.

But what about Israel?
My feelings are such that we need to be economically strong to be of any use to our allies. Edgar Bronfman has another side of this story and I think his is even more important.
